It’s May – a busy month each year when it comes to public health. National Nurses week, EMS week and so many other health and safety focused activities. It also means that National STOP THE BLEED® Day is less than 3 weeks away!
The National STOP THE BLEED® Day project has been busy since launching this year’s effort, running the Scholarship and Grant programs and most recently, launching the NEW STOP THE BLEED® Ambassador program, now with more than 1000 Ambassadors from the US and over 15 other countries. This group is already making a difference in their effort to create more awareness of the campaign and by sharing information to help one another. It’s been great to see their enthusiasm and effectiveness!
Our Grant and Scholarship programs have been active as well – with many applications made for each. We’re looking forward to announcing all of the winners on May 20, 2021 – one of many exciting activities planned for National STOP THE BLEED® Day. Please note that the application deadline for both the Grants and Scholarships is May 8, 2021!
