More and more, individuals and organizations are building community through the STOP THE BLEED® training and other activities. In these stressful times, STOP THE BLEED® unites people under a common cause, builds community resilience, and fosters connections. The campaign is about community members knowing they are there for one another, if tragedy strikes. And in a world where emergencies can happen in the blink of an eye, building a prepared and resilient community is essential.

Winning students will receive scholarship money towards post secondary education. The schools of the winning students will receive free STOP THE BLEED® Kits.

This year’s program consists of National Scholarships and STOP THE BLEED® Instructor Impact Scholarships. Please note that these scholarships have separate applications. Eligible students can apply for both scholarships. Students are limited to one scholarship award.

How to find an Instructor licensed by the Stop the Bleed Coalition

To find an instructor licensed by the Stop the Bleed Coalition in your community, speak to your school nurse, local fire department, police department or emergency services organizations. If they are not aware of a current Licensed Instructor near you, a qualified member of any of these organizations can submit an Instructor application and become your Instructor sponsor.

In order to become a licensed instructor, individuals must possess a healthcare or emergency services background or have experience training others in these areas. Doctors, nurses, police officers, firefighters, paramedics and EMS professionals are some of the types of individuals who are licensed instructors.
